Another very walkable city even to monuments slightly further out in Parc du Cinquantenaire, where some Art Nouveau buildings reside. Sunset at St. Michael & St. Gudula Cathedral against the clear blue sky was picturesque. Then reaching the Grand-Place as the sun lowered, really drew out golden highlights on the buildings.
The Royal Palace of Brussels was unfortunately closed during the entire month, so next time I hope to go inside, also inside some of Victor Horta's Art Nouveau designs, the iconic staircase in Hôtel Tassel. Not to say the exteriors of them all weren't incredible.
A must have we couldn't leave before trying was some Belgium chocolate and waffles - and it 100% held up to expectations.
